Choosing to stay soft on purpose.
Different Kinds of Beauty™
“honestly some days i look in the mirror and i'm like… who authorized this 😂 but then i laugh — like really laugh — and i remember that's the part of me nobody can take away. staying soft on purpose is the hardest thing i've ever done and also the only thing that's kept me here.”
Manifesto
Simran grew up between two cultures and three cities, which taught her early that belonging is something you build, not something you're handed. She is the person in any room who remembers your coffee order and also quietly organizes the mutual aid group chat at 11pm after the kids are down. She raises her children with total permission to be weird and uncertain and loud, teaching them that staying soft on purpose is the hardest thing she has ever done and the only thing that has kept her here. Some days she looks in the mirror and wonders who authorized this, but she chooses to laugh at the reflection, holding onto that joy as a part of herself that no one can take away. She is currently trying to eat more vegetables, call her mom back, and worry less about her appearance, roughly in that order.
