Divya Anand

Divya Anand

A visible prosthetic eye decorated with custom painted art — tiny botanicals and a gold sunburst — worn without a patch and never hidden.

Different Kinds of Beauty™

“someone asked me once if i was 'okay with people noticing' and honestly i laughed — noticing is the whole point 🌻 my eye is mine, it's decorated, it's not going anywhere.”

Manifesto

Divya has lived in the same neighborhood long enough to know which rooftop catches the best afternoon light and which bodega will let you leave a free box without asking. She raised her kids in a city that didn't always make room for them, and that taught her to make room herself. Her mornings start slow — tea, a few texts to the group chat, maybe moving a planter that's been bothering her all week. She views her decorated eye as a permanent fixture of her identity; when someone once asked if she was okay with people noticing, she simply laughed. Noticing is the whole point, and for Divya, showing up as herself means embracing that her eye is hers, it is decorated, and it is not going anywhere.
